Biographical Information:

Vera Mukhina was a prominent Russian sculptor. She was born into a wealthy family in Riga and lived in Turgeneva. She then moved to Moscow where she studied at private art schools such as Konstantin Yuon and Llya Mashkov. She travelled to Paris in 1912 where she attended Academie de la Grande Chaumiere learning from Emile-Antoine Bourdelle.
